If you want to start a career as an animal trainer or zoo keeper, curator, wildlife conservationist, or any other animal field then this course will start you in that direction. Our 14 Day Professional Course is designed for those who want to seriously start a professional career in the animal field. Upon completion students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of animal behavior, safe animal husbandry procedures and practical experience & humane animal training techniques.
2007 14-17 DAY COURSE - Jan. 12 2008
It runs for 14 consecutive days with two days off at our exotic animal compound in Los Angeles. We also offer an additional 3 days extension which includes a Behind the Scenes day at a marine mammal park with one of the head trainers. The classes run from 8 AM to at least 6 PM. It is perfect for international and out of town students. We have had students from Japan, England, Australia, and Singapore with background ranging from corporate professionals to students to zoo curators and managers.
Early registration is recommended, as the class is filled on a first come, first served basis.
There is always a minimum of two instructors/trainers with each class depending on the size. Our instructors are all experience professional studio trainers. Safety is our number one priority. Upon completion students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of animal behavior, safe animal husbandry procedures and practical experience in humane animal training techniques.
